About the Author

Who is Nexus Publishing? Originally from a small town called Darlaston – about ten miles north of Birmingham – I moved to West Sussex about ten years ago to help develop one of the first online retailers. Having recently moved to Shropshire I am now enjoying the working from home life in a semi rural location. I have been a freelance writer and journalist for about fifteen years. Eight of them were spent doing various other jobs such as bookshop assistant, print finisher and returns clerk for a large library supplier, with the writing taking up evenings and any of my spare time. As you can see, much of my life so far has been spent working with books and publishing of one kind or another. My time as an employee came to a conclusion some six years ago with redundancy, so I took the opportunity – and the money – to see if I could survive as a full-time freelance writer. That was five years ago. There have been some lean times – just ask my wife, Joanne. But after tasting the freelance life, there’s no going back.

Desktop Designer Chairs

I have a habit of dropping my mobile phone on my desk when I’ve finished a call. As this isn’t doing much to keep my phone in good working order, I’ve been looking for something to put the phone on.
If you haven’t seen them yet, there is a range of miniature designer chairs you can buy. It struck me that one of these would be perfect as a resting place for my phone.

You can buy them from a wide variety of stockist including Firebox, but the only problem is that you can’t order just the chair you want as they come in packs that are blind packed, so you never know which chairs you will get. This can mean a lengthy and potentially very expensive process until you get the chair you want. Personally I think the Barcelona chair would be perfect for my phone.

If anyone is collecting these chairs and wants to swap any with others let me know and I’ll compile a list of who is looking for what chair. I’m sure as a complete collection they are very impressive on a shelf, but could take up quite a bit of space.
